Kate graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in English Literature (2010) and Boston University with an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (2015). A native of Montana, her work has appeared in The Whitefish Review (2017) and various academic and online publications.
Kate also offers writing consultations to select clients.
A painter as well as a writer, Kate's art works convene her own vulnerability and exuberance in her craft, developed cautiously and slowly over the years. The collections are suggestions, meant to guide viewers and fellow artists in the wild tumble of Montana, western spirit.

Kate has been mentoring scholars at all stages of the academic journey for nearly a decade. Her experience ranges from SAT / ACT test preparation to university-setting creative writing instruction.
Students have gone on to attend Ivy League institutions, score prominently on ESL exams, and land prestigious domestic and international internships and fellowships.
